Pagur LIneage

PAGUR is a sporthorse breeders dream come true. His pedigree is full of documented performance horses of the highest standards. PAGUR himself proves his pedigree and his versatility as an athletic horse who excels in racing, dressage, endurance, jumping and is gorgeous as an in-hand horse. He has met every test put before him and is approved for breeding by numerous breed registries and is being recognized by more every day.

The sire-line of PAGUR is the famous Koheilan I/Koheilan Adjuze db, 1876, the line of great influence to several famous sporthorses. Stallions in this line include Koheilan I - the sire of Koheilan II who stood as a chief stallion in Babolna, Hungary and then went onto the famous Arabian horse State Stud in Weil. Koheilan IV a son of Koheilan II, can be found in several sporthorse pedigrees of various breeds. Examples of the Koheilan IV sons include the lovely Koheilan VIII and Landsknecht in Poland. In Russia the Koheilan I line includes Priboj, an influential stallion in his own right. Also in Russia, Pomeranets became influential in the Trakehner bloodlines.

Gepard (Naftlin x Prikhot), the sire of PAGUR, was used in the traditional Russian Arabian breeding program where, from the beginning of flat tracks in Russia till today, all horses have been performance tested on racetrack.

Gepard was bred by Tersk Stud, where his full brother Parusnik was later used as a sire, after they realized the success of Gepard at Khrenovoe Stud. Gepard was chief sire at Khrenovoe Stud, 1996 - 2007. Sixty-three (63) offspring are registered and they made him the *Russian Arabian Racehorse Sire Number 1* 2010/11. Gepard offspring were never sent to international auctions and were not known outside of Russia.

The dam of PAGUR was POSPA (Prikaz x Premera), an "Elite" dam of outstanding racehorses, sires and mares. Her pedigree also reads like a Who's Who of influential horses in history - Mesaoud, Raseem, Rissla, Berk, and Negatiw.
